Position Overview

We are seeking a Hospice Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to serve patients primarily in Los Alamos and White Rock, providing care in Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs), Assisted Livings and patients’ homes. This role requires compassionate hands-on care, excellent communication, and a heart for hospice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and emotional support to hospice patients in SNFs and private residences

  • Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, toileting, transfers, feeding)

  • Observe and report changes in patient condition to the clinical team

  • Support families with education and comfort measures

  • Maintain accurate documentation per hospice and regulatory guidelines

  • Work collaboratively with nurses, social workers, chaplains, and the interdisciplinary team

  • Maintain patient dignity, privacy, and comfort at all times

  • Travel throughout the service area daily

Qualifications
  • Current New Mexico CNA license (required)

  • Hospice or home health experience preferred

  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance

  • Ability to travel daily within service area

  • Strong communication skills and compassionate bedside manner

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Must pass background check and drug screening
