Our purpose is simple: Caring for People & Their Spaces.We're looking for an experienced Microvellum Cabinet Designer to join our growing team in Austin. In this role, you'll transform design concepts into detailed cabinet drawings and production-ready plans that support high-quality residential construction projects.If you're passionate about custom cabinetry, enjoy solving design challenges, and thrive in a collaborative environment, we'd love to hear from you.What You'll DoAs our Microvellum Cabinet Designer, you'll work closely with project managers, architects, interior designers, and production teams to create accurate, buildable cabinet designs.Your responsibilities will include:Design custom cabinetry and millwork using Microvellum.Produce detailed shop drawings, cabinet layouts, elevations, and production documents.Develop cut lists, material specifications, and CNC-ready drawings.Review architectural plans and interior design drawings to ensure cabinetry integrates seamlessly with the overall project.Collaborate with project managers, designers, and field teams to resolve design challenges before production begins.Verify dimensions through field measurements and site visits when required.Revise drawings based on client selections, design changes, and project requirements.Maintain organized project files and drawing documentation.Help improve drafting standards, workflows, and production efficiency.Ensure designs meet company quality standards and are ready for manufacturing.What Success Looks LikeDuring your first year, you'll be successful by:Delivering accurate and production-ready cabinet drawings on schedule.Reducing revisions through careful planning and attention to detail.Collaborating effectively with project teams to support smooth project execution.Continuously improving drawing standards and design efficiency.What We're Looking For3+ years of cabinet design experience using Microvellum.Experience designing custom residential cabinetry and architectural millwork.Strong understanding of cabinet construction methods, materials, and manufacturing processes.Ability to read and interpret architectural and interior design plans.Experience preparing production drawings and CNC-ready documentation.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.Experience with AutoCAD, Cabinet Vision, or other design software is a plus.Technology You'll UseMicrovellumAutoCADMicrosoft 365Google WorkspaceBuildertrendDigital document management systemsReporting StructureReports To: Director of PreconstructionWorks Closely With: Project Managers, Interior Designers, Architects, Estimators, Production Team, and Trade Partners.Work EnvironmentThis position is based in Austin, Texas.
