AVIR at French Home is an in-house subacute rehabilitation facility seeking a compassionate and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team. Full-time and per diem opportunities are available.
Position Responsibilities
Provide skilled physical therapy treatments under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
Implement individualized treatment plans designed to improve patients’ strength, mobility, balance, coordination, and functional independence.
Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, functional mobility, transfers, gait training, and other appropriate interventions.
Monitor patient responses to treatment and communicate progress or concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist.
Complete accurate and timely treatment documentation.
Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, mobility techniques, and safety recommendations.
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary rehabilitation and nursing teams.
Maintain compliance with professional, facility, and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
Current Texas Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in good standing.
Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills.
Experience in skilled nursing or subacute rehabilitation is preferred.
New graduates with appropriate licensure are encouraged to apply.
