A leading automotive manufacturer in Auburn Hills is seeking an experienced INDUSTRIAL MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN to keep advanced production equipment and automated systems running safely and at peak performance.

Key responsibilities
Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and automated production machinery.
Dismantle equipment to access, remove and replace worn and defective drive mechanisms, hydraulic components and piping.
Realign and adjust critical mechanical components, including spindles and clutches.
Set up and operate tool room machinery. (lathes, drill presses, grinders).
Perform modifications to computer controlled automation systems.
Maintain accurate maintenance records, and an organized work area.

Requirements
High school diploma OR GED.
3+ years mechanical/hydraulic maintenance experience.
Strong working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical drives, and basic metalworking tools.
Basic understanding of automated equipment and PLC motion adjustments.
Understand safety rules, operating manuals, technical instructions.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Lift up to 50lbs.
