AVIR at Angle Avenue is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Full-Time Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our in-house rehabilitation team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a PTA who enjoys providing hands-on, patient-centered care and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to help residents improve mobility, function, and independence.
Position Responsibilities
Provide skilled physical therapy services under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
Implement individualized treatment plans based on residents' needs and goals.
Provide therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance activities, transfer training, mobility training, and functional activities.
Monitor residents' response to treatment and communicate progress or changes to the supervising Physical Therapist.
Document treatment sessions accurately and in a timely manner.
Educate residents and caregivers regarding exercises, mobility, safety, and functional activities.
Collaborate with Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech-Language Pathologists, nursing staff, and other members of the interdisciplinary team.
Participate in care planning and support residents in achieving their functional goals.
Maintain compliance with facility, state, and federal regulations.
Qualifications
Current Texas Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in good standing.
Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills.
Experience in skilled nursing, subacute rehabilitation, or a similar setting is preferred.
Compassionate, dependable, and resident-focused approach to care.
