Job Summary
We are currently seeking a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to provide high-quality patient care in our long-term care, nursing home, and rehabilitation center settings. As a CMA, you will be responsible for administering medications to residents, monitoring for side effects, providing patient comfort, and reporting observations to nursing supervisors.
Responsibilities
Administer medications to residents accurately and in accordance with physician orders and state regulations
Document medication administration and maintain accurate medication records
Monitor residents for side effects or adverse reactions and report findings to nursing supervisors
Provide patient comfort by utilizing resources and materials
Answer patients' call lights and requests
Report observations to nursing supervisors
Complete forms, reports, logs, and records
Requirements
Must be a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) in good standing in the state employed
Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification may be required, depending on state regulations
Experience with geriatric patients is a plus!
Successful completion of a training and competency evaluation program required
Completion of orientation required by company policy
Health screening and TB test (if required) within two weeks of employment
Mandatory drug test within 90 days of hire
Must be free of criminal activity proven by a criminal background check
Become familiar with and comply to all local, state, and federal regulations relating
