Facilities Maintenance Technician – 1st Shift
Location: Franklin, IN
Employment Type: Direct Hire
Pay: $25.00–$35.00/hour, based on experience
Available Shifts:
  • 1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
  • Overtime and weekend availability may be required as needed.
First Call Professional is seeking experienced Facilities Maintenance Technicians for a direct-hire opportunity with an automotive manufacturer located in Franklin, Indiana.
We are looking for technicians with strong facilities maintenance experience who are comfortable troubleshooting and maintaining HVAC, electrical, plumbing, compressed air, water, and other building systems.
EPA certification is preferred but is NOT required.
Responsibilities
  • Perform overall facility and grounds maintenance, including repairs and preventative maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot and repair facility electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Maintain and support HVAC, electrical, compressed air, water, plumbing, and building infrastructure systems.
  • Monitor facility conditions through routine inspections and the Building Management System (BMS).
  • Diagnose equipment and building-system issues and complete repairs in-house whenever possible.
  • Coordinate with outside contractors and vendors when necessary.
  • Assist with waste handling and other facility-related responsibilities.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, machine drawings, electrical diagrams, and schematics.
  • Safely operate standard powered and non-powered tools.
  • Work from industrial lift equipment, including scissor lifts and boom lifts.
  • Follow facility safety procedures, including Arc Flash requirements.
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of industrial facilities maintenance experience preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and other building systems.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and demonstrated troubleshooting skills.
  • Relevant trade education or certifications in HVAC, electrical, facilities maintenance, or industrial maintenance preferred.
  • EPA Certification preferred, but not required.
  • Knowledge of Arc Flash safety.
  • Ability to read blueprints, electrical diagrams, machine drawings, and schematics.
  • Comfortable working at heights and operating scissor lifts and boom lifts.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with maintenance software and Building Management Systems (BMS) preferred.
  • Previous automotive manufacturing experience is a plus.
  • Experience working in a multicultural manufacturing environment is a plus.
