Compensation:28-30/hr

Must have Skill Set:

  • Knowledge of manufacturing plant buildings maintenance and repair procedures and techniques
  • Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions
  • Knowledge on driving man-lifts, fork trucks and other related facilities equipment
  • Skilled in reading and following blueprints and assembly instructions
  • Skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards
  • Skilled in using hand and power tools
  • Skilled in heating and air conditioning trouble shooting and repair
  • Skilled in welding

Overview:
This person will perform a variety of skilled work in the maintenance of Focal Point properties; and performs related duties as assigned. The Facilities Technician is responsible for the repairs and maintenance of all facilities equipment and systems, acting as the contact for emergency situations. Additionally, the Facilities Technician will assess and consider daily, the safety of our employees, the security of our assets and the proper functions of the facility equipment. Work Schedule: 1st Shift (8:00am – 4:30pm). This position is eligible for overtime with flexibility required to work some weekends required.

Job Duties:

  • Performs preventive building maintenance duties such as; but not limited to: painting, drywall, caulks, doors, welding or fabricating tables and carts, etc.
  • Performs routine plumbing repairs such as unstopping toilets, sinks or urinals, fixing water leaks, leaking faucets, and water fountains
  • Performs routine electrical PM and repairs of HVAC units, compactors, as well as changing light bulbs or fluorescent lamps and assists in repairing ballast and light fixtures
  • Estimates equipment, and materials as necessary to complete assigned projects
  • Assembles and moves furniture, hangs pictures and bulletins
  • Repairs and replaces doors and door hardware
  • Maintains and repairs automated and manual plumbing fixtures
  • Must be able to respond to immediate demands for internal customer needs and acts as the primary contact for all building issues (climate control, odors, smoke, spills, damage, emergencies and repairs)
  • Maintaining building perimeter security and responds to building emergencies (fencing, doors, locks, windows)

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Manufacturing plant building maintenance experience, infrastructure and facilities
  • Experience in troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, structural, plumbing, piping systems and equipment
  • HVAC systems trouble shooting, repair and maintenance
  • Fabrication from prints of storage devices, stands, etc.
