We are looking for a Production Planner to coordinate manufacturing schedules and help keep operations aligned with customer demand in Farmington, New Hampshire. This role works across purchasing, production, engineering, sales, and customer support to keep materials, capacity, and priorities synchronized. The ideal candidate brings manufacturing planning experience, strong systems knowledge, and a data-driven approach to improving delivery performance, inventory control, and overall workflow efficiency.
Responsibilities:
• Create and update short- and long-range production plans that reflect customer orders, stock objectives, staffing levels, and available equipment capacity.
• Issue, sequence, and adjust work orders to keep manufacturing activities moving efficiently and to respond quickly to changing requirements.
• Track schedule execution across machining, assembly, finishing, and shipping, making timely revisions when bottlenecks or constraints arise.
• Partner with purchasing teams to confirm that raw materials, components, and outside services are in place to support planned production.
• Review inventory status regularly, identify potential shortages early, and help prevent disruptions that could affect delivery commitments.
• Maintain accurate planning information in business systems, including bills of material, routing details, and lead time data.
• Analyze scheduling results and operational metrics to identify opportunities for better throughput, stronger on-time performance, and improved resource utilization.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, quality, customer service, and sales teams to resolve planning issues and communicate updated production priorities.
• Support new product launches and sales and operations planning activities by aligning material readiness with production timelines.• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, operations, business, engineering, or comparable relevant experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or manufacturing operations.
• Solid knowledge of manufacturing workflows, material movement, and capacity planning principles.
• Hands-on experience using ERP or MRP systems; NetSuite experience is strongly preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills with the ability to interpret data and build useful planning insights.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities in a fast-paced production environment.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to coordinate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Experience with inventory optimization, demand planning, or regulated manufacturing environments is a plus.
