We are looking for an IT Application Analyst to support the design, configuration, and ongoing performance of clinical and operational applications in Lubbock, Texas. This role works closely with end users to understand workflows, improve system functionality, and help deliver reliable technology solutions that support daily operations. The ideal candidate brings strong troubleshooting ability, experience with healthcare application support, and a proactive approach to project delivery and system optimization.
Responsibilities:
• Configure, enhance, and validate Epic and integrated third-party applications to support implementations, optimization efforts, and day-to-day operations.
• Partner with users and stakeholders to map current workflows, identify process gaps, and translate operational needs into effective application solutions.
• Plan and execute application testing activities, document outcomes, track defects, and coordinate issue resolution through completion.
• Maintain accurate project and support documentation, provide timely progress updates, and raise risks or barriers to the appropriate team members and leadership.
• Support multiple initiatives at once while completing assigned work within defined scope, timelines, and budget expectations.
• Troubleshoot incoming incidents, resolve issues when possible, and escalate complex problems through established support channels.
• Coordinate application updates and installations in alignment with change management standards and departmental procedures.
• Guide and support entry-level team members by sharing knowledge, offering coaching, and promoting best practices in application support.
• Participate in on-call rotations and adjust work schedules as needed to support planned implementations, maintenance windows, or unexpected downtime events.• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• At least 3 years of recent experience in IT, healthcare technology, application development, implementation, or production support.
• Prior experience supporting Epic applications required, with Epic Cadence, Prelude, or related Epic modules preferred.
• Epic certification in one assigned application must be obtained within 6 months of start date and within 2 attempts.
• Working knowledge of application support practices, testing methods, incident management, and change control processes.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently on technical assignments.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate with users, cross-functional teams, and vendors.
• Familiarity with healthcare workflows, operational processes, and technologies such as Active Directory, Cisco, Dell systems, and general computer hardware support is preferred.
