We are looking for a detail-oriented Paralegal to support trademark and copyright matters in a Contract position based in Orlando, Florida. This role works closely with attorneys to coordinate filings, track deadlines, and manage a busy intellectual property portfolio involving domestic and international matters. The ideal candidate brings strong organizational skills, experience with trademark procedures, and the ability to communicate clearly with clients and external associates.

Responsibilities:
• Support attorneys with the preparation and submission of trademark applications and related filings with the appropriate state and federal agencies.
• Oversee domestic and international trademark docket activity, monitor critical dates, and help ensure all filings and responses are completed on time.
• Coordinate with foreign counsel on international trademark matters, including filing updates, document requests, and status communications.
• Perform trademark availability and clearance research using online search tools and summarize findings for attorney review.
• Prepare client correspondence regarding watch notices, trademark concerns, upcoming deadlines, and portfolio status updates.
• Assist with copyright application filings and gather required materials such as specimens, powers of attorney, and supporting client information.
• Help manage contested trademark matters, including opposition and cancellation proceedings, and draft pleadings and related legal documents under attorney direction.
• Maintain complete trademark and copyright records in physical and electronic files, support file opening and closing processes, and provide necessary information to the billing team.• 3+ years of paralegal experience, with a strong focus on intellectual property and trademark matters.
• Working knowledge of trademark filings, renewals, infringement issues, and trademark availability research.
• Experience using case management or docketing software to track matters, deadlines, and related documentation.
• Ability to draft legal documents, letters, reports, and other correspondence with a high level of accuracy.
• Familiarity with trademark research tools such as Corsearch, Google, or similar search platforms.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple active matters in a deadline-driven environment.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills for working with attorneys, clients, and foreign associates.
