This role offers the opportunity to help launch a new local delivery partner program in rural Washington. You will recruit local businesses to join a delivery hub network by conducting door-to-door outreach, presenting the program, qualifying prospects, and guiding them through the application process. You will collaborate closely with a Field Manager and other local contractors to drive referrals through community organizations and to plan and execute recruitment events. The position involves regular travel within a two-hour driving distance and provides uncapped commission based on each partner successfully onboarded.

Responsibilities
  • Visit prospective local businesses door to door in targeted towns within approximately 90 minutes driving distance to promote the delivery partner program.
  • Present and pitch the new program opportunity to prospective businesses, clearly explaining benefits and requirements to generate interest and encourage applications.
  • Qualify prospective businesses against program criteria and guide them step by step through the application process.
  • Lead and track all prospecting and follow-up activities in Salesforce, maintaining an organized and up-to-date pipeline of potential partners.
  • Support the Field Manager in planning, coordinating, and hosting recruitment events in the community, such as lunch-and-learn sessions and town hall meetings.
  • Partner with the Field Manager to build relationships with local influencers, including chambers of commerce and economic development associations, to drive referrals.
  • Drive referrals through community organizations and other local networks to expand the reach of the program.
  • Import Excel spreadsheets into Salesforce on a weekly basis to ensure accurate and timely data entry and reporting.
  • Communicate professionally and clearly with business owners and stakeholders, addressing questions and resolving issues that arise during the application and onboarding process.
  • Collaborate with other local contractors to share insights, align outreach strategies, and support overall recruitment goals.
  • Manage time and territory efficiently to maximize daily outreach and conversion opportunities while traveling between towns.
  • Consistently work toward hitting and exceeding recruitment goals to qualify for additional monthly incentives.
Essential Skills
  • At least 2 years of experience in sales and/or customer service roles.
  • Proven outside or field sales experience, including door-to-door or territory-based sales.
  • CRM experience, with Salesforce strongly preferred.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to build rapport quickly with business owners.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for pitching the program and guiding applicants.
  • Demonstrated professionalism and the ability to represent the program credibly in the community.
  • High sense of urgency and drive to meet recruitment targets and timelines.
  • Strong attention to detail, particularly when qualifying businesses and entering data into Salesforce.
  • Ability to solve problems for applicants in the field and address obstacles to completing the application process.
  • Comfort working with multiple systems and technology; tech-savvy mindset.
  • Ability to travel up to four hours round trip daily within the assigned territory.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Local familiarity with the Spokane, Pullman, or Lewiston areas is highly preferred.
  • Prior experience in roles involving sales negotiations with customers is a plus.
  • Previous field sales experience is a plus.
  • Enthusiasm for working with others and collaborating with a Field Manager and local contractors.
  • Ability to build relationships with community organizations, chambers of commerce, and economic development associations.
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a field-based environment.
  • Comfort using Excel and importing spreadsheets into CRM systems.
  • Interest in contributing to improved last-mile delivery experiences in rural communities.
Work Environment

This is a field-based role with a mix of on-the-road and remote work. You will spend approximately three to four days per week in the field, traveling to targeted towns within roughly a two-hour driving radius to meet with local businesses and attend community events. When not in the field, you will work from home, using Salesforce and other technology tools to manage your pipeline, complete follow-ups, and prepare for upcoming outreach. Mileage is reimbursed at a set rate per mile, and the position offers uncapped commission with earnings tied to each partner successfully onboarded and additional monthly incentives for hitting goals. You will operate in rural and small-town environments, interacting directly with business owners, community organizations, and local influencers. The role requires reliable transportation and comfort with frequent driving, as well as a professional appearance when meeting clients and attending community events.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Pullman, WA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $27.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
