We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst IV to join a high-impact team in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin. This Long-term Contract position will support insurance-focused initiatives by partnering with business and technology stakeholders to define needs, shape practical solutions, and keep delivery on track. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical judgment, confidence working with senior partners, and the ability to turn complex operational challenges into clear, actionable documentation.
Responsibilities:
• Partner with business leaders, technical teams, and project stakeholders to gather, clarify, and document functional and technical needs for insurance-related initiatives.
• Lead discovery workshops and requirements sessions, translating business objectives into detailed artifacts that support design, development, testing, and delivery.
• Serve as a key connection point between business and IT, helping teams align on priorities, resolve questions, and move project work forward efficiently.
• Create and maintain process maps, workflow documentation, business rules, and other project materials that improve clarity and support implementation efforts.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to identify issues, track defects, and support timely resolution for insurance application enhancements.
• Facilitate regular touchpoints with distributed team members to review progress, surface blockers, and coordinate next steps across workstreams.
• Contribute to end-to-end solution planning by evaluating impacts across policy, claims, billing, pricing, underwriting, and financial-related processes where applicable.
• Provide guidance and influence during project execution by anticipating risks, recommending improvements, and helping teams make informed decisions.
• Support delivery of business capability improvements by ensuring documentation, requirements, and stakeholder feedback remain current throughout the project lifecycle.• At least 5 years of business analysis experience, including strong work in Agile environments and ownership of complex project deliverables.
• Background as a Business Analyst or Product Owner within the insurance industry, excluding Life, Health, and Workers’ Compensation.
• Demonstrated experience supporting insurance functions such as billing, pricing, underwriting operations, policy administration, claims, or related areas.
• Ability to elicit requirements from senior stakeholders and communicate effectively across business, IT, customer-facing teams, and vendor partners.
• Strong skills in process analysis, procedure mapping, documentation development, and defect management coordination.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Visio.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and influence decisions.
• Experience working independently, taking initiative to solve problems, and collaborating effectively with onshore and offshore teams.
