Robert Half Permanent Placement is partnering with a wonderful organization in Cheektowaga, NY on their search for a Member Services Specialist to join their highly collaborative team. Starting wage is $24 - $27 based on experience and includes a comprehensive benefits package. This is an in-branch role directly interacting with potential clients with a focus on driving membership. The ideal candidate will bring a customer service mindset side by side with a warm and welcoming demeanor.


Please note: the branch is open for a half day every Saturday. This role is required to work Saturday morning from 9 AM – 1 PM at least twice a month.


Responsibilities include but not limited to:


  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships to support long-term retention, satisfaction, and business growth
  • Identify prospective clients and opportunities through networking, outreach, referrals, and other business development activities
  • Assess client needs and recommend appropriate products, services, and solutions that align with their goals
  • Create and execute strategies to convert prospects into new clients and expand relationships with existing clients
  • Serve as a trusted resource to clients by providing responsive service, timely communication, and knowledgeable guidance
  • Proactively identify opportunities to strengthen existing relationships through additional products, services, and solutions
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure client needs are effectively addressed and commitments are fulfilled
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned, with responsibilities subject to change based on business needs


  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in business, finance, or related field preferred, with prior financial services, lending, sales, or customer service experience strongly preferred
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, member service, relationship-building, and consultative sales skills, with the ability to understand needs and recommend appropriate financial solutions
  • Knowledge of financial products, lending practices, credit reports, account documentation, regulatory requirements, and financial data
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with strong judgment, accuracy, problem-solving abilities, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced branch environment
  • Proficient with computers, online banking and lending systems, and standard office software; demonstrates professionalism, discretion, integrity, and sound handling of confidential information
