About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Lead Foreman/Technician to join our Fire Alarm & Suppression New Projects team in Mobile, Alabama. This individual will play a critical role in installing fire alarm and suppression systems for commercial, federal, and industrial clients throughout the region.

This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned fire protection professional who enjoys a combination of technical troubleshooting, system programming, customer interaction, and field leadership. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently, leading projects in the field, and ensuring all work is completed in accordance with applicable fire and life safety codes.

What You'll Do

Fire Alarm & Suppression Systems

  • Installing and testing fire alarm control panels
    • Fire alarm systems
    • Fire suppression systems
    • Fire extinguishers
  • Program and commission fire alarm systems for commercial and industrial customers.
  • Work with leading manufacturers including:
    • Siemens
    • Notifier
    • Simplex
    • Gamewell-FCI
    • Honeywell products
    • Edwards EST

Low Voltage & Security Systems

  • Service and maintain:
    • Access control systems
    • Security systems
    • CCTV/Camera systems
  • Support low-voltage wiring and device installation activities.

Customer & Site Support

  • Work with a diverse customer base including:
    • Hospitals and healthcare systems
    • Universities
    • Manufacturing facilities
    • Commercial buildings
    • Shipyards
    • Steel and Chemical Plants
    • Government and military facilities
    • Industrial plants and sawmills
  • Provide professional customer service and communicate findings clearly.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience working with commercial and/or industrial:
    • Fire alarm systems
    • Fire suppression systems
    • Experience running conduit and pulling wire for fire alarm panels
  • Experience programming fire alarm systems..
  • Clean driving record.
  • Willingness to travel
  • Ability to pass background screening requirements, including customer-specific security checks.

Preferred Qualifications

  • NICET Level II or higher in Fire Alarm Systems and/or Special Hazards
    • Candidates without NICET may still be considered if they possess equivalent state certifications and relevant experience.
  • Experience programming fire alarm systems.
  • Experience with low-voltage systems including:
    • Access control
    • Security systems
    • CCTV
  • Knowledge of applicable fire and life safety codes and standards.
  • Experience working in healthcare, industrial, manufacturing, or government environments.


Physical Requirements

  • Lift and carry 50+ pounds.
  • Work from ladders, boom lifts, and elevated platforms.
  • Comfortable working at heights (up to approximately 50 feet).
  • Ability to climb ladders and work in confined spaces.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach for extended periods.
  • Work safely in commercial, industrial, and active construction environments.

Schedule: Monday – Thursday 7-5 CST

+ 1-2 half Fridays a month due to backlog


Travel Requirements – 40%-50% Travel

  • Travel 8-12 weeks a year
  • Out of town Monday – Thursday
    • 40 hrs onsite + drive time (paid OT for any hours over 40)
    • Does not exceed 50 hrs a week
  • $50 a day per diem for food
  • Hotel covered

Compensation: $30–$40/hour + overtime, on-call pay, and employee ownership benefits

  • Overtime expectations: roughly 1 week a month
    • Time-and-a-half pay for after-hours service calls
    • Four-hour minimum pay when called out
    • Double-time pay on holidays
