We are looking for an experienced Human Resource Business Partner to support employees and leaders across service locations in Austin, Texas. This role acts as a key advisor on workplace concerns, performance matters, policy application, and employment law compliance while helping leaders build strong, effective teams. The ideal candidate brings sound judgment, a collaborative approach, and a strong background in employee relations and leadership support.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with operational leaders to develop people-focused strategies that support business priorities and workforce needs.
• Advise managers and employees on workplace policies, HR practices, and compliance obligations, providing practical guidance on sensitive personnel matters.
• Conduct or support workplace investigations, document findings, and recommend appropriate next steps to address employee concerns.
• Guide leaders through performance discussions, corrective action processes, and development planning to improve team effectiveness.
• Promote employee engagement and retention by partnering with site leadership on morale, communication, and workforce support initiatives.
• Support talent-related activities such as internal movement, hiring coordination, job description updates, and broader workforce planning efforts.
• Monitor adherence to federal, state, and local employment regulations while helping reduce organizational risk through consistent HR practices.
• Assist with labor relations activities, including grievance handling, union-related matters, and compliance with collective bargaining obligations.
• Partner with benefits and leave administration teams to provide direction on employee leave questions and related processes.
• Identify training opportunities and help coordinate or deliver HR programs and special projects as needed.• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• At least five years of progressive human resources experience spanning employee relations, performance management, talent support, compliance, and leadership coaching.
• Demonstrated knowledge of employment laws, HR standards, and workplace compliance practices.
• Labor relations experience is preferred.
• Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is strongly preferred.
• HR certification such as SHRM-CP, PHR, or an equivalent credential is preferred.
• Proficiency with HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office applications, especially Word and Excel.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to complete criminal, drug, and driving background screenings successfully.
