Overview of the Position
Full-time position working onsite at our Columbus, Ohio location with a salary range based on experience and qualifications of $110,000 to $125,000 plus benefits and an annual performance bonus opportunity. The position will report to the Company’s CFO and include the responsibility of managing the Company’s accounting team.

About the Role
We are seeking an Accounting Manager to lead and oversee the accounting and cash management functions, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and maintaining strong internal controls. This individual will oversee all accounting and finance functions, including financial reporting, budgeting, cash management, internal controls, and the monthly close process, while partnering with operations to identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and enhanced business performance.
The Accounting Manager will supervise a team responsible for accounts receivable and accounts payable and play a critical role in strengthening the accounting processes, driving continuous improvement initiatives, improving system utilization, and supporting audit readiness. This role will also help evaluate and implement emerging technologies, including automation and AI-enabled tools, to improve efficiency, enhance data quality, and strengthen the accounting close and reporting process.
Position Responsibilities
- Manage the monthly and annual general ledger close processes, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial reporting.
- Lead the daily accounting operations and supervise a team of two responsible for accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Oversee the Company’s daily cash management needs including funds transfer, check and electronic payment processing, and forecasting of the Company’s liquidity position.
- Prepare account reconciliations and supporting schedules and monitor branch cash sales reconciliations and cash deposits.
- Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal accounting policies.
- Prepare and process monthly sales tax returns along with other quarterly and annual tax filings and payments.
- Support the CFO on the diligence review and integration of planned acquisitions and initiatives to improve accounting processes, controls, and systems.
- Identify, evaluate, and help implement opportunities to use automation, AI-enabled tools, and process improvements to reduce manual work and improve accuracy.
- Maintain financial data integrity within the cloud-based NetSuite ERP system and look to continuously improve ERP performance, functionality, and utilization.
- Ensure inventory is properly costed and analyzed and participate as needed in annual physical inventory counts and/or cycle counts.
- Collaborate cross-functionally on department-wide initiatives, accounting projects, and process improvement efforts.
· Assist with planning, execution, and reporting of special projects as assigned by the CFO.
- Monitor key performance indicators and provide financial analysis to support strategic and operational decision-making.
- Travel to other Company locations and potential acquisition targets as needed.
Position Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- 7 to 10 years of relevant experience in public or corporate accounting with prior leadership or supervisory experience.
- Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting and understanding of U.S. accounting principles and practices.
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and related analysis tools, as well as the ability to work efficiently with large datasets.
Preferred
- Strong working knowledge and prior experience with NetSuite.
- Experience working for a distribution, ecommerce or other high transaction volume business.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and growing organization with flexibility to work extended hours as needed throughout the year.
