About the Role
We are seeking a skilled, compassionate, and dependable Veterinary Assistant/Technician to join our team.
This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced veterinary environment where teamwork, adaptability, and attention to detail are essential. Team members play a direct role in patient care by assisting doctors with exam room appointments, educating clients, and helping create a positive experience for both pets and their owners.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys staying busy, thrives in a collaborative environment, and takes pride in delivering high-quality patient care.
This role requires flexibility in scheduling across our full range of operating hours as well as the ability to float between our hospital locations (all within a 15-mile radius). Schedules vary based on business and patient care needs and are not fixed week to week. This position requires consistent availability- not compatible with an in-person school schedule or long-term schedule restrictions.

Responsibilities
· Collect patient histories, vital signs, and medical information electronically
· Assist veterinarians during exams
· Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed
· Take radiographs and collect laboratory samples for testing
· Educate clients on products, medications, and treatment plans
· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Qualifications
· Prior experience in a similar capacity in a veterinary clinic or animal hospital required
· Demonstrable veterinary assisting or technician skill set
· Ability to safely and compassionately handle and restrain animals
· Strong communication skills and attention to detail
· Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
· Includes some evenings, weekends, and an occasional holiday.
· Physically capable of restraining large animals, lifting heavy loads, and standing for extended periods
· CVT, LVT, or RVT credential eligible for increased compensation
