Accounting Clerk - Immediate Opening (High-Volume/QuickBooks Desktop)

Deerfield Beach, FL – On-site

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced, highly organized accounting clerk who can step in quickly and take ownership of the day-to-day accounting operations. This role requires hands-on experience with QuickBooks Desktop and a proven ability to manage accounts payable and receivable transactions efficiently and accurately while keeping bank reconciliations up to date. The ideal candidate is organized, pays close attention to detail, and is able to communicate professionally with customers, vendors and internal team members.

Key Responsibilities:

· Review and process vendor bills, issue payments, and research and resolve billing discrepancies

· Prepare and issue customer invoices, post payments, and follow-up on outstanding balances

· Perform timely bank and credit card reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records

· Research, identify, and resolve accounting errors, discrepancies, and variances promptly

· Maintain accurate and up-to-date internal spreadsheets, reports, and accounting records

· Communicate professionally with vendors, customers, and internal team members regarding account inquiries, billing concerns, and payment issues

Qualifications:

· Proven experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a similar role

· Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations

· Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Desktop is required

· Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast paced, high-volume environment

· Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills

· Strong written and verbal communication skills

· Proficiency with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets
