New Hope Center for Mental Health is growing, and we’re looking for a compassionate and motivated Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) who wants to make a meaningful difference in the lives of clients while growing professionally within a supportive team.
This is a great opportunity for a clinician who values genuine client connections, quality care, and helping people navigate challenges and create meaningful change.
The position starts part-time with the opportunity to grow into a full-time caseload as our practice continues to expand. Clinicians will have the opportunity to provide care through both in-person and telehealth visits, offering flexibility while maintaining a strong connection with clients.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll work primarily with individual clients experiencing concerns such as:
- Anxiety and stress
- Trauma and PTSD
- Grief and loss
- Life transitions
- Relationship and emotional challenges
- Other common mental health concerns
We’re looking for someone who is passionate about helping clients process difficult experiences, build resilience, develop healthy coping skills, and create lasting positive change.

Responsibilities
- Provide individual therapy through in-person and telehealth sessions
- Work with adults and, when appropriate, children and adolescents
- Develop individualized treatment plans
- Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation
- Provide thoughtful, ethical, and high-quality clinical care
- Collaborate with the clinical team when appropriate
Qualifications
- Active LAC license in New Jersey
- Strong clinical and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate, professional, and client-centered approach
- Experience treating anxiety, trauma, PTSD, grief, or related concerns preferred
- Experience working with children and adolescents is a plus
- Ability to work independently while being part of a collaborative team
Schedule
Part-time to start, with the opportunity to grow into a full-time caseload as client demand increases.
