Diesel Mechanic
Job Description

What You'll Do
- Perform preventative maintenance on various vehicles and equipment, including trucks, trailers, and electronic components
- Complete oil changes, fluid services, tire repairs, and inspections
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and air system issues within your skill level
- Use diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot problems
- Identify potential issues before they become breakdowns
- Keep accurate maintenance records
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop
- Work closely with fellow technicians, foremen, and the Maintenance Director
- Help us achieve our goal of Zero Breakdowns
What We're Looking For
- Motivated and versatile automotive maintenance technician
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Previous diesel or automotive maintenance experience preferred
- Experience using hand tools and diagnostic equipment
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Standing, reaching, stretching, stooping, bending, kneeling, climbing and twisting
- Able to lift 110 Ibs. to waist level to handle duties such as brake drums, etc.
- Able to lift 75 lbs. above chest level
- Valid driver's license (CDL is a plus, but not required)
