Job Description
The Home Health Occupational Therapist plays a vital role in supporting adult patients to regain and improve their daily living skills within the comfort of their own homes. This position involves evaluating patient needs, designing customized care plans, delivering therapeutic exercises, and educating patients to promote independence and enhance quality of life.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations focused on adult clients
- Develop and implement personalized care plans
- Administer therapeutic exercises to improve patient function
- Educate patients on techniques to enhance daily living skills
- Document patient progress and update care plans accordingly
- Recommend appropriate adaptive equipment as needed
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year experience in occupational therapy
- Current CPR certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
- Expertise in patient assessment and therapeutic interventions
- Skilled in developing effective care plans and patient education
- Strong time management and communication skills
- Empathy and patient-centered approach
