Electrical Estimator

We are seeking a detail-oriented Electrical Estimator to prepare accurate cost projections for commercial and industrial projects. This role bridges the gap between the initial project bid and the final execution, ensuring that all labor, material, and equipment costs are accounted for to secure profitable contracts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Bid Preparation: Review project blueprints, specifications, and proposal documents to develop comprehensive and competitive cost estimates.
• Material Takeoffs: Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for all electrical components, including conduit, wiring, panels, transformers, lighting fixtures, and specialty equipment.
• Vendor Coordination: Solicit and evaluate pricing from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure the most current and competitive material costs are used.
• Labor Analysis: Calculate labor hours and crew requirements based on project scope, timelines, and prevailing wage rates.
• Proposal Generation: Draft clear, detailed bid proposals and present them to management or clients for review.
• Risk Assessment: Identify potential project risks, such as schedule constraints or complex installations, and factor contingency costs into estimates.
