Order Picker Forklift Operator Job Description

Responsible for safely operating reach trucks and order picker forklifts to move, retrieve, and organize inventory in a warehouse or distribution center. This role involves handling materials, fulfilling orders, and ensuring efficient storage and transportation of goods while following safety regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Operate both reach trucks and order picker forklifts to transport and retrieve products.
• Load, unload, and stack materials efficiently within warehouse racking systems.
• Pick and prepare customer orders accurately using an order picker forklift.
• Perform inventory checks and cycle counting as needed.
• Conduct pre- and post-operation inspections of forklifts to ensure proper functioning.
• Adhere to all warehouse safety protocols and procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
• Assist with general warehouse tasks as required.

Requirements:

• Experience operating both reach trucks and order picker forklifts.
• Valid forklift certification (preferred but not required).
• Ability to work at heights and handle heavy loads.
• Strong attention to safety, accuracy, and efficiency.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
