General Production Worker

An entry-level machine general laborer supports manufacturing or production floors by feeding raw materials into machines, catching finished parts, inspecting products for basic quality, packaging goods, and keeping the workspace clean. No prior experience is usually required, as companies provide on-the-job training for basic operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Machine Operation: Load raw materials, start basic production or press machines, and monitor output.
• Material Handling: Move stock, boxes, and parts using hand trucks or pallet jacks.
• Quality Check: Inspect finished items for simple defects and sort items into bins.
• Packaging: Count, label, and pack finished products securely for shipping.
