Commercial Electrician

Position Overview

Tuffo Electrical is seeking an experienced Commercial Journeyman
Electrician to join our team working on commercial projects throughout
Murfreesboro, Nashville, and the surrounding Middle Tennessee area.

The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of commercial
electrical experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability
to work independently while maintaining high standards for safety and
workmanship.

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial electrical systems
Install conduit, wire, panels, switchgear, lighting systems,
receptacles, and electrical equipment
Bend and install EMT, rigid conduit, and other raceway systems
Pull wire and terminate electrical circuits and equipment
Read and interpret commercial blueprints, electrical drawings,
schematics, and specifications
Install and troubleshoot branch circuits, feeders, transformers, and
electrical panels
Perform electrical work in accordance with the National Electrical
Code (NEC) and applicable local codes
Use meters and testing equipment to diagnose electrical issues
Identify electrical hazards and complete repairs safely and efficiently
Coordinate work with project managers, foremen, contractors, and other trades
Follow job-site and company safety requirements
Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work area
Travel to commercial job sites throughout Middle Tennessee

Requirements

Minimum 4 years of commercial electrical experience
Strong knowledge of commercial electrical systems and installations
Experience bending and installing conduit
Ability to read and work from commercial electrical blueprints
Knowledge of NEC requirements
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently with limited supervision
Reliable and able to report to job sites on time
Valid driver's license and clean driving record required
Ability to safely operate a company vehicle when required
Ability to lift materials and equipment and perform physical work
throughout the day
Comfortable working from ladders, lifts, and in active commercial
construction environments

Preferred Qualifications

Journeyman electrician license or certification preferred
Experience with commercial new construction and renovations
Experience with three-phase electrical systems
Experience with switchgear, transformers, panels, and commercial
lighting systems
OSHA or other safety certifications are a plus
