Metal Casting/Furnace Operator

· Up to $32 an hour DoE

· Manchester, NH

· Monday – Friday w/ opportunity for OT

· First shift – 7am -4pm

· DIRECT HIRE OPPORTUNITY


Duties:

· Operate and monitor furnaces and other equipment used in stainless steel processing and casting.

· Assist with charging, melting, tapping, casting, and handling molten metal.

· Monitor equipment performance and document production/process information.

· Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs.

· Assist with equipment installation, startup, commissioning, and system testing.

· Work with operations and engineering teams to improve processes and resolve equipment or production issues.

· Operate forklifts, cranes, and other material-handling equipment as needed.

· Maintain clean and organized work areas and properly handle materials and waste.

· Identify potential safety hazards and follow all required safety and environmental procedures.

· Follow detailed operating procedures and accurately document completed work.


What we look for...

· Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to safely use hand and power tools and perform basic repairs.

· Experience working with industrial equipment, furnaces, metal processing, foundry operations, steelmaking, or other heavy manufacturing environments preferred.

· Hands-on experience with molten metal, industrial furnaces, or metal casting strongly preferred.

· Ability to follow detailed operating procedures, safety guidelines, and written instructions while accurately documenting work.

· Experience with equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, or minor repairs.

· Comfortable working around extreme heat, heavy machinery, high noise levels, dust, and other demanding industrial conditions.

· Ability to safely operate or work around forklifts, cranes, rigging, and other material-handling equipment.

· Ability to work safely while wearing required PPE, including steel-toe footwear, hard hat, safety glasses, hearing protection, respirator, and other protective equipment as needed.

· Comfortable working on your feet, climbing stairs/ladders, navigating uneven surfaces, and performing physically demanding work, including lifting up to 50 lbs.

· Basic computer skills, including data entry and email, with the ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors.

· Strong attention to detail and the ability to recognize and report safety concerns or equipment issues.

· Ability to learn new equipment and processes and adapt to a hands-on, fast-paced environment.
