Harness and PCB Technicians

Libration Systems is looking for Harness and PCB Technician to join fabrication operations for cable-harnesses, and printed circuit boards assemblies. Libration Systems manufactures spaceflight and non-flight (GSE) harnesses. Customers include NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center and many commercial satellite and rocket companies.

Job Description:

Technician will support fabrication of cables harnesses and printed circuit boards for space flight programs, satellites, launch vehicles, and ground support equipment.

Primary Duties:

• Harnesses: building complex harnesses with high-density connectors
• Printed Circuit Boards: solder components including SMT and Micro-D connectors
• Polymerics applications as required or as necessary
• Testing and verification on all products
• Work is performed in an ESD environment and sometimes a clean room environment
• Read and follow drawings and instructions

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma
• US Citizen or Permanent Resident
• 1-5 years of relevant experience

Desired Qualification:

• IPC J-STD-0001 with Space Addendum (training available)
• NASA 8739.4 Crimp, Cable, Harnessing (or IPC 620) certification (training available)

Work Location:

• On site- Albuquerque, New Mexico
• Some travel may be required to perform manufacturing and integration at client sites

Our engineering services include: Test program design and development; and Assembly, Integration, and Testing of satellites and satellite payloads, from major observatories to CubeSats. As well as design and build of Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE) for various applications. Libration Systems has a growing business fabricating cable-harnesses, and printed circuit boards assemblies, and avionics for launch, spaceflight, and ground use. Fabricators are IPC/NASA certified. Libration Systems provides specialty scientific/engineering services in modeling and simulation of complex systems. We develop tools for and perform analysis of scientific data. Projects have included modeling and simulation of the non-linear behavior of fiber-amplifiers at high energies, propagation, and detection of nuclear EMP signals through the Earth’s ionosphere.
