Mayco International is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to support our Shelby Township manufacturing location. What You’ll Do
As the Human Resources Coordinator, you’ll support day-to-day HR operations while gaining exposure to multiple HR disciplines and contributing to fostering a positive, engaged, and compliant workplace.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Serve as a primary point of contact for employee HR-related questions and concerns
- Support employee relations, policy adherence, recognition programs, training, and development
- Manage recruitment activities including job postings, interviews, hiring, and onboarding
- Coordinate and facilitate smooth onboarding experiences for new hires
- Create, update, and maintain job descriptions
- Track training records and partner with managers to ensure training compliance
- Assist with payroll preparation and time & attendance administration
- Review attendance points and issue disciplinary actions as needed
- Partner with managers on progressive discipline while ensuring consistency and fair investigations
- Administer leaves of absence and ensure timely, accurate documentation
- Maintain organized and accurate personnel files
- Assist with planning and coordinating company events and employee engagement initiatives
- Support safety initiatives including training, accident investigations, and incentive programs
- Perform additional HR-related duties as assigned
What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2+ years of Human Resources experience
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently
- Working knowledge of basic employment laws
- High level of discretion and confidentiality
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Preferred Qualifications:
- HR experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with ADP payroll and time & attendance systems (or similar)
- Familiarity with ISO 14001 and IATF 16949 training requirements and recordkeeping
