We are looking for an HR Generalist to support day-to-day human resources operations for a healthcare organization in Sonora, California. This Contract position will serve as a trusted resource for employees and managers by providing guidance on workplace policies, employee relations matters, compliance expectations, and HR processes. The role requires sound judgment, discretion with sensitive information, and the ability to use data and established practices to support consistent people-related decisions.

Responsibilities:
• Advise supervisors and staff on human resources policies, workplace concerns, and routine employee matters to promote fair and consistent application of guidelines.
• Review employee relations issues, gather relevant facts, and handle lower-risk investigations while referring complex or high-impact cases to senior HR leadership.
• Recommend appropriate documentation and corrective action steps in accordance with company standards, employment practices, and compliance requirements.
• Interpret HR metrics, workforce information, and recurring trends to identify operational issues and support informed recommendations.
• Assist with core HR programs such as onboarding, performance management activities, engagement efforts, and required training initiatives.
• Contribute to workforce planning conversations by preparing data, summarizing historical patterns, and offering policy-based input to local leaders.
• Partner with internal teams on HR-related projects, focusing on execution, coordination, and adherence to established processes.
• Maintain accurate records and support compliance with internal policies, regulatory expectations, and organizational procedures.
• Complete additional human resources duties as needed to support departmental and operational goals.

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

• Typically 2–4 years of progressively responsible HR experience, preferably in a healthcare or similarly regulated environment.

• Working knowledge of employee relations practices, HR administration, policy interpretation, and compliance standards.

• Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment.

• Experience preparing documentation, supporting investigations, and guiding corrective action processes.

• Strong analytical and decision-making skills with the ability to use data to support recommendations.

• Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with employees, managers, and cross-functional partners.

• Familiarity with onboarding, training support, performance management, and general HR best practices.
