We are looking for an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead core people operations in Miami, Florida for a growing investment firm in Coral Gables. This role oversees employee relations, HR administration, benefits coordination, and compliance activities while helping create a consistent and supportive workplace environment. The ideal candidate brings strong working knowledge of labor regulations, HR systems, onboarding processes, and payroll practices, along with the judgment to handle sensitive matters with professionalism. This person will lead the creation of a handbook and implement policy.


Responsibilities:

• Lead day-to-day human resources operations, ensuring employee records, documentation, and administrative processes are maintained accurately and efficiently.

• Serve as a primary resource for employee relations matters, guiding investigations, conflict resolution, and policy interpretation with discretion and fairness.

• Administer employee benefits programs and support team members with enrollments, changes, questions, and ongoing benefits communication.

• Manage onboarding activities to create a smooth and compliant experience for new employees from pre-employment steps through orientation.

• Oversee HRIS and payroll-related coordination, including work connected to payroll systems, to help maintain accurate employee data and timely processing.

• Monitor adherence to labor laws, corporate policies, and internal standards, recommending updates and corrective actions when needed.

• Conduct or support compliance reviews and audits by organizing records, evaluating practices, and addressing identified gaps.

• Partner with leadership to strengthen HR procedures, improve consistency across people processes, and support organizational goals.

• At least 5 years of experience in human resources, including leadership or management-level responsibility.

• Demonstrated background in employee relations, HR administration, and benefits management.

• Hands-on experience working with HRIS platforms and payroll systems, including Paychex, Trinet, or similar tools

• Strong knowledge of labor law, workplace compliance requirements, and corporate policy administration.

• Experience supporting onboarding, employee documentation, and audit-ready recordkeeping.

• Ability to handle sensitive information with sound judgment, discretion, and confidentiality.

• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced business environment.
