Truck Drivers CDL Class A

A CDL Class A Truck Driver is to work on a team, Is responsible for safely transporting freight while complying with federal, state, and company regulations. Typical responsibilities include:

• Operate Class A commercial vehicles, including tractor-trailers, safely and efficiently.
• Transport freight to designated locations while meeting delivery schedules.
• Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of the truck and trailer.
• Ensure cargo is properly loaded, secured, and balanced to prevent shifting during transport.
• Maintain accurate driver logs, inspection reports, and shipping documents in compliance with DOT regulations.
• Follow all traffic laws, safety procedures, and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations.
• Plan routes and use GPS or dispatch instructions to optimize delivery times.
• Communicate with dispatch, customers, and warehouse personnel regarding delivery status and any delays.
• Report vehicle maintenance issues, accidents, or safety concerns promptly.
• Keep the truck clean and perform basic preventive maintenance checks.
• Verify freight against bills of lading and obtain required delivery signatures.
• Provide professional customer service during pickups and deliveries.
• Adhere to hours-of-service regulations and manage driving time responsibly.
• Assist with loading and unloading freight when required by the employer.
• Respond appropriately to emergencies, breakdowns, or changing road conditions.
