$65,000-$110,000 plus service/travel bonuses

Position Summary: MFT is seeking a hands-on Field Service Technician to install, commission, troubleshoot, and support custom automation and material handling equipment at customer sites. This role includes domestic and international travel up to approximately 50% and requires strong mechanical, electrical, troubleshooting, and customer-service skills. When not traveling, the technician will work onsite with MFT’s Integration and Engineering teams to build, test, validate, and prepare equipment for shipment.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Install, commission, troubleshoot, and service MFT equipment at customer facilities.

· Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and controls-related issues.

· Make adjustments, modifications, and repairs to ensure proper equipment operation.

· Support customer startup, setup, optimization, and operator/maintenance training.

· Document service work, equipment status, corrective actions, and open issues.

· Work with Engineering, Integration, Manufacturing, and Project Management teams to test and validate equipment before shipment.

· Assist with equipment setup, commissioning, functional testing, FAT/SAT activities, and shipment preparation.

· Represent MFT professionally while working with customers and project teams.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. · Technical degree, vocational training, or equivalent hands-on experience.

· Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.

· Experience with industrial machinery, automation equipment, conveyors, sensors, motors, pneumatics, or similar systems.

· Ability to read mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and technical documentation.

· Comfortable using hand tools, test equipment, and diagnostic tools.

· Strong communication, problem-solving, and customer-service skills.

· Ability to work independently while traveling and collaborate effectively with internal teams.

· Willing and able to travel domestically and internationally up to approximately 50%.

· Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a passport.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Experience with custom automation or capital equipment.

· Experience with PLC-controlled equipment, servo motors, VFDs, sensors, motion control, pneumatic systems, or vision systems.

· Experience with equipment commissioning, FAT/SAT, operator training, or troubleshooting in a production environment.
