Location: Oceanside, CA (statewide travel required)
Compensation: $25/hour

Position Overview

The Wildfire Defense Systems Installer / Crew Technician plays a key role in both warehouse operations and field installations. This is a hands-on position that blends construction, mechanical, and logistics work and supports installations throughout California. Training is provided on all CitroTech systems, methods, and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities

Field Installation

• Install wildfire defense system components, including tanks, pumps, rooftop sprinklers, piping, valves, and related equipment

• Perform trenching, digging, mounting hardware, anchoring systems, and sealing penetrations

• Assist with plumbing (PVC, HDPE, copper as applicable) and basic electrical work for pumps and system components

• Test and verify proper system operation

• Maintain clean, safe, and organized jobsites

• Interact professionally with homeowners, builders, and project managers

• Travel throughout California for installations (company-paid travel when required)

Warehouse Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks for field installations

• Stage materials and equipment for upcoming jobs

• Assist with inventorying parts, tools, and system components

• Pick and prepare materials for installation crews

• Operate forklifts as needed (forklift experience is a plus)

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment

Required Qualifications

• Strong work ethic; dependable, punctual, and professional

• Ability to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and work outdoors in varying conditions

• Basic experience in one or more of the following:

  • Construction, plumbing, irrigation, or landscaping

  • Pumps or pressure systems

  • Electrical (low-voltage preferred)

  • Carpentry, drilling, or mounting hardware

• Comfortable interacting with customers at high-end residential properties

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Preferred (Not Required)

• Forklift experience

• Experience with inventorying, picking, or warehouse operations

• Experience installing or servicing pumps, irrigation systems, tanks, or sprinklers

• Ability to read basic plans or drawings

• Familiarity with wildfire behavior, defensible space, or WUI concepts (training provided)
