EMT Basic (AmbuCare Medical Transportation)

We are seeking a reliable, patient, and highly experienced Emergency Medical Technician – Basic (EMT-B) for non-emergency patient transport only. In this role, you will handle scheduled inter-facility transfers, hospital discharges, and non-emergent medical transports. There are no 911 emergency responses required.

Because safe, gentle vehicle operation is critical to non-emergency patient comfort and safety, candidates must have a minimum of 15 years of licensed driving experience with a completely spotless driving and insurance record (0 points).

Key Responsibilities

• Non-Emergency Patient Transport: Safely operate transport vehicles and ambulances to move non-critical patients between facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, and medical appointments.
• Patient Care & Monitoring: Monitor vital signs and provide basic medical oversight, comfort, and care during transit appropriate to the EMT-B scope of practice.
• Safe Vehicle Operation: Maintain smooth, defensive driving practices to ensure maximum comfort and safety for non-emergency patients.
• Patient Transfer & Mobility: Safely assist, lift, and maneuver patients using stretchers, stair chairs, and wheelchairs.
• Documentation: Complete precise, timely documentation for each transfer, including Patient Care Reports (PCRs) and facility handoff notes.
• Vehicle & Equipment Prep: Conduct pre-shift vehicle checks to ensure cleanliness, stocked medical supplies, and full operational safety.
