In Home Caregivers
Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate, reliable live-in caregiver for a male client managing a brain tumor diagnosis. The client is currently mostly independent with daily activities but will needs standby assistance and reminders with increasing support as care needs progress. This is an opportunity to provide meaningful, relationship-based care in a home setting and to provide much needed respite care for the spouse.
Responsibilities may include:
- Companionship and supervision
- Assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needs increase
- Medication reminders/administration
- Light housekeeping, shopping and meal preparation
- Respite care for spouse
- Transportation to medical appointments
- Monitoring for changes in condition and communicating with family/care team
Qualifications:
- Prior experience as a caregiver, CNA, HHA, or similar preferred
- Patient, compassionate, and adaptable to changing care needs
- Reliable, trustworthy, and able to live in the home
- Background check and references required
Schedule: Live-in position in separate living quarters within the home — [specific schedule/days off to be confirmed]
Compensation: Free room and board with pay to be determined.
Pet: The family owns a dog that is part of the family, is well behaved, but individual will need to be comfortable with living and interacting with a dog
