About the Opportunity
Riley Bennett & Egloff is seeking a highly professional and detail‐driven Legal Assistant to support our Litigation, Real Estate, Employment, Medical Malpractice and Bankruptcy Law practice groups. This position requires strong organizational capabilities, excellent judgment, and the ability to manage sensitive client matters with discretion.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, revise, and finalize litigation, real estate, medical malpractice, bankruptcy and employment documents.
- File pleadings with both state and federal courts.
- Maintain attorney calendars and scheduling for client meetings and internal deadlines.
- Communicate professionally with clients, financial institutions, and courts.
- Perform general administrative duties including correspondence management, scanning, and document organization.
- Provide administrative support for litigation matters.
- Docket case deadlines and maintain calendar to confirm all deadlines are met.
- Transcribe, type, proofread and finalize documents, correspondence, memos, minutes, charts, forms, billings.
- Maintain electronic documents and files.
- Schedule and arrange client, witness and other meetings.
- Maintain confidential information, files, records, legal documents, and reports.
Qualifications
- Prior experience supporting litigation, real estate, employment and bankruptcy is strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of legal terminology in various areas of law.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office and document management systems.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion.
