Veterinary Care Center is seeking a dependable, compassionate, and motivated Veterinary Assistant / Client Service Representative (CSR) to join our team full-time.

This is a hybrid position ideal for someone who enjoys both hands-on patient care and client interaction. The right candidate will be comfortable assisting our veterinary team with patients while also supporting reception and helping create a welcoming, organized experience for our clients.

We are looking for someone who is reliable, professional, eager to learn, and willing to step in wherever needed to help the hospital run smoothly.

Responsibilities

Veterinary Assistant Duties

  • Assist the veterinarian and veterinary technicians with patient care and restraint
  • Safely handle dogs and cats using compassionate, low-stress techniques
  • Prepare exam rooms and treatment areas for appointments and procedures
  • Assist with obtaining patient histories and recording accurate information
  • Help prepare patients and equipment for procedures
  • Clean, disinfect, and maintain exam rooms, treatment areas, kennels, and equipment
  • Assist with laboratory sample preparation and other diagnostic procedures as trained
  • Monitor patient comfort and communicate concerns to the veterinary team
  • Restock medical and treatment supplies
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized hospital environment
  • Follow hospital safety, patient-care, and infection-control protocols

Client Service / Reception Duties

  • Greet clients and patients in a friendly and professional manner
  • Answer incoming telephone calls and appropriately route or document messages
  • Schedule appointments and assist with maintaining an organized appointment calendar
  • Check clients and patients in and out
  • Collect payments and accurately process client transactions
  • Update patient and client information in the practice management system
  • Communicate hospital policies, appointment instructions, and general information clearly and professionally
  • Assist with prescription and medical-record requests according to hospital procedures
  • Maintain confidentiality of client and patient information
  • Help manage client concerns with professionalism, empathy, and good judgment
