Yeager Manufacturing Technologies
Orlando, FL, US Full Time
60000USD - 70000USD per year

Job Description

Job Description

<<< About Us >>>

YMT is an AS9100D / ISO 9001 certified machine and fabrication shop serving aerospace

and DoD customers. We run 3-axis and 5-axis CNC milling, turning, finishing, custom

weldments, electrical enclosures, tube bending, and powder coating. As a CMMC Level 2

shop, we hold ourselves to a high standard — and we need an estimator who can match it.

<<< What You'll Do >>>

You'll take customer prints, CAD files, and requested quantity price breaks, and turn them

into a solid, accurate quote. Specifically:

• Review incoming RFQs and determine the right manufacturing approach for each

part — for example, 3-axis vs. 5-axis milling, or laser-cutting into press brake forming

into welding

• Estimate how long each process step will take based on the part's geometry,

tolerances, and requirements

• Build the part and estimate in ProShop ERP, applying your knowledge of how the part

is actually made

• Factor in material selection and how it changes cycle time, tooling, and cost

• Source material quotes from vendors when needed to price out a job accurately

• Let ProShop's quoting engine apply labor and profit values, then assemble the

finished quote

• Work with production or engineering to clarify technical requirements when needed

• Keep customers informed on quote status and answer technical questions

• Help maintain sales tools like capability decks and quote templates, and support

leadership on occasional customer outreach

<<< What We're Looking For >>>

• Proficient understanding of both machining and fabrication processes — CNC

milling (3-axis and 5-axis), turning, welding, laser cutting, press brake forming, and

how they combine on a single part

• Ability to estimate process time for a part based on its geometry, tolerances, and

process requirements

• Working knowledge of common shop materials (aluminum, steel, stainless, etc.)

and how they affect machining/fabrication time

• Comfortable reading prints and CAD files (GD&T knowledge a plus)

• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Self-motivated and detail-oriented

• Must be able to work in a U.S. Person / ITAR-controlled environment

• Familiarity with quoting software, MRP/ERP systems, or ProShop ERP

• CAD/CAM exposure (Fusion 360, SolidWorks, etc.) for estimating purposes

<<< What You'll Bring Every Day >>>

This is a role for someone who can look at a part and immediately see how it gets made —

the processes, the time, the cost — and turn that read into a quote customers can trust. If

you're the person who can bridge the shop floor and the customer conversation, we want

to talk to you.
