Certified Flagger

A Certified Flagger plays a critical role in ensuring safety and efficient traffic flow at road construction and maintenance sites. Working as part of a team, the flagger coordinates traffic control activities to protect both workers and the public. This role involves daily travel to varying job sites and active engagement in setting up and managing work zones in compliance with safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage traffic flow and control to ensure safety
• Place and maintain traffic signs and signals
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations
• Communicate effectively with team members and drivers
• Report incidents and hazards promptly
• Inspect and maintain flagging equipment
• Set up and dismantle work zones
• Perform flagging operations to guide vehicles safely

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in traffic control or related field
• Current Flagger Certification
