Building Maintenance Manager
Job Description
SUMMARY
Seeking self-motivated, problem-solving person for 30-hour/week position to perform routine and incidental preventative maintenance and repairs on a well-maintained one-story building. Benefits are available to Employees working 30+ hours.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform preventative maintenance related but not limited to the following:
- Building mechanical equipment: Appliances, HVAC, plumbing (replace filters, seals, valves)
- Inspect items used daily for wear and tear; repair as needed
- Organizing and maintaining clean work building
- Interior – minor painting and patching repairs, cabinets/drawers repairs
- Outdoor – maintenance of clear walkways/borders
Availability to respond to emergency maintenance requests as needed.
Communicate with staff for daily needs and outside providers for major repairs
Maintains records of scheduled maintenance procedures
May obtain estimates for supplies, repair parts; orders parts as needed. Coordination with trade vendors.
QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be willing and able to perform a variety of tasks satisfactorily with reasonable flexibility within each essential function. Must work independently, follow set maintenance schedules, and be able to pass drug screen and FBI background check. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and five years of responsible experience in building management and mechanical equipment maintenance and repair; or an acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience. Good skill in the use of hand tools.
Year-round employment – 25-30 hours/week. Personal and professional references required with resume.
