Yard Worker/Laborer/Fork lift

Bates Recycling specializes in metal recycling, a wide range of scrap metals.
We are seeking a motivated Yard Worker/Scrap Yard Worker to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be actively involved in managing scrap materials, computer work, weighing products and assist in maintaining a clean and organized yard environment. Pay starts out at $20/per hour. Hours are Monday through Friday 7:45 am to 3:45pm and Saturday 7:45 am to 11:45am.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts to move scrap materials efficiently.
• Load and unload scrap metals, while inspecting loads and other materials with precision and safety awareness.
• Basic computer skills needed. Usage of scrap software for buying metals.
• Maintain cleanliness of the yard by performing sweeping, debris removal, and sanitation tasks regularly.
• Assist with the sorting, stacking, and storage of scrap metal.
• Familiarity with manufacturing or recycling environments is a plus.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the workday.
• Strong physical stamina with the ability to stand, walk, lift, and perform manual tasks for extended periods.
