Duties

  • Assess patients pre-operatively by reviewing medical histories, conducting physical examinations, and evaluating vital signs to determine anesthesia needs.
  • Develop individualized anesthesia plans tailored to each patient's specific condition, age (geriatrics or pediatrics), and procedure requirements.
  • Administer anesthesia medications and sedation, including injections and airway management techniques, ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout procedures.
  • Monitor patients continuously during anesthesia using advanced EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems such as Epic and other EHR platforms, tracking vital signs, oxygenation levels, and physiological responses.
  • Manage airway security with expertise in airway management techniques, ensuring unobstructed breathing during surgical interventions.
  • Respond swiftly to any intraoperative changes or emergencies by adjusting anesthesia levels or providing resuscitative measures as needed.
  • Document all medical procedures accurately in compliance with HIPAA regulations and NCQA standards, maintaining comprehensive medical records for each patient encounter.
  • Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and ensure seamless patient experiences.
  • Participate in pain management protocols post-procedure to facilitate recovery and comfort for patients across all age groups.
  • Uphold ASC policies related to patient safety, infection control, and confidentiality while fostering a positive environment focused on compassionate care.
