Safety Coordinator – Construction
We’re recruiting for a large, established mechanical contractor that is looking to add a full-time Safety Coordinator to their team. This is a great opportunity for a safety professional with construction experience who wants a hands-on role supporting large commercial projects and field employees.
What You’ll Do
- Support field safety operations across large commercial construction projects
- Conduct site visits, safety inspections, and jobsite observations
- Help identify hazards and ensure corrective actions are addressed
- Work with field leadership to promote a strong safety culture
- Maintain safety documentation, reports, and compliance records
- Coordinate and track required safety training for field employees
- Keep employee certifications and training requirements current
- Assist with new-hire safety orientations and ongoing safety training
- Help ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety policies
- Support incident reporting and investigations as needed
What We’re Looking For
- Construction safety experience is required
- Experience working around mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, or piping construction is a plus
- Strong understanding of OSHA requirements and construction safety practices
- Organized and detail-oriented, especially when it comes to training and compliance tracking
- Comfortable spending time in the field working directly with crews and supervisors
- Strong communication and follow-through
- Ability to manage multiple projects and training requirements at once
- OSHA 30 or other safety certifications are a plus
