Shipping Receiving Manager

We are seeking a Shipping Receiving Manager to become a part of our team! You will manage a logistics team and direct daily operations. This Manager position will be responsible for the direct supervision of 5+ material handling employees responsible for receiving, moving, and shipping product as well as executing inventory transactions in our computer system.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee logistics systems and daily operations
• Coordinate distribution process with various departments
• Develop and improve inventory processes
• Directs regular staff meetings to ensure communication of strategy and resolution of issues.
• Identify areas to optimize distribution and warehouse programs

Receiving and Inventory Control:

• Supervise and train personnel to receive and put away all product per documented procedures
• Supervise the inventory reporting, cycle counting, and reconciliation process.
• Maintain quality of receipt and put away transactions
• Maintain records for all inbound receipts per documented processes as well as non-conforming product, purchase order, or damaged shipments.
• Investigate shipments, receiving errors, and adjustments to inventory to determine root cause.
• Ability to maintain accurate inventory utilizing a Warehouse Management System

Shipping

• Manages shipping orders and assigns shipping duties as required to meet customer commitments
• Develop, implement, and maintain effective outbound shipping processes.
• Working knowledge of RF processes using RF scanning equipment.
• Working with Trucking Companies to ensure accurate billing.

​Qualifications:

• Minimum of five years’ experience in Shipping and Receiving management including direct management of staff - Required.
• Prior experience working with Old Dominion Freight and FedEx - Required
• Strong leadership qualities
• Deadline and detail-oriented
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
