RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare and review accounting records for small business clients.
• Prepare individual, business, payroll, and sales tax returns.
• Assist with tax planning and client tax consulting engagements. Compile, analyze, and interpret financial statements.
• Prepare adjusting and closing journal entries.
• Perform account reconciliations and identify discrepancies.
• Create ad hoc financial reports and analyses to support client decision-making.
• Communicate directly with clients regarding accounting and tax matters.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• 1-2 years of public accounting or related accounting experience preferred. Strong understanding of accounting principles and tax compliance.
• Ability to analyze and interpret financial statements and financial data.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Experience with QuickBooks and tax preparation software.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
• CPA license or progress toward CPA certification is a plus.
