Johnson Family Medical is looking for a dependable, organized, proactive, and friendly Medical Assistant to join our team. We are looking for someone who takes initiative, stays ahead of the schedule, and makes sure all assigned tasks are completed before the end of each workday.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prep patient charts the day before scheduled appointments, ensuring necessary information and documentation are ready for the provider.
  • Build and prepare charts for the following day’s patients so the clinical team is prepared before the day begins.
  • Room patients, obtain vital signs, update medical histories and medication lists, and prepare patients for their visit.
  • Complete all assigned daily tasks before leaving for the day and ensure work is not unnecessarily carried over to the following day.
  • Print and process incoming faxes and make sure information is properly placed or documented in the appropriate patient charts.
  • Administer injections as directed by the provider and accurately document them in the patient’s chart.
  • Turn over exam rooms between patients, including cleaning, restocking, and preparing rooms for the next appointment.
  • Manage and assist with inventory, including monitoring clinical and medical supplies, restocking rooms, and notifying management when items need to be reordered.
  • Assist providers during patient visits and procedures as needed.
  • Perform blood draws and assist with laboratory procedures when needed.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.
  • Help keep the clinical area clean, stocked, organized, and running efficiently.
  • Assist with additional clinical and administrative duties as needed.

What We’re Looking For

  • Medical Assistant experience preferred
  • Experience with injections, blood draws, chart preparation, and EHR systems is a plus
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to anticipate what needs to be done and stay ahead of the patient schedule
  • Dependable, punctual, and accountable
  • Able to complete tasks efficiently without requiring constant supervision
  • Friendly, compassionate, and professional with patients
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Able to multitask in a busy medical-office environment
  • Team-oriented with a positive attitude and willingness to help where needed

This position requires someone who takes ownership of their responsibilities, prepares charts and rooms in advance, keeps inventory organized, processes incoming information promptly, and makes sure the clinical area is ready for the next day’s patients before leaving.
