The ideal candidate is clinically confident, organized, highly communicative, and committed to providing an exceptional patient experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive patient histories, assessments, and physical examinations.
- Perform neurological and musculoskeletal examinations and evaluate patients presenting with brain, spine, and neurological conditions.

- Provide preoperative evaluations and patient education for individuals undergoing neurosurgical or spine procedures.
- Participate in postoperative management, including wound evaluations, medication management, recovery monitoring, and follow-up care.
- Review diagnostic imaging and testing with physicians and coordinate appropriate next steps in treatment.
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as clinically appropriate.
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment options, procedures, medications, recovery expectations, and preventive care.
- Coordinate referrals, imaging, therapy, injections, surgery, and other services necessary for continuity of care.
- Collaborate closely with physicians, physician assistants, nurses, medical assistants, hospitals, rehabilitation providers, and other healthcare professionals.
- Communicate abnormal or urgent findings promptly to the appropriate physician.
- Maintain accurate, comprehensive, and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Assist with hospital-based patient care, rounding, and other clinical responsibilities as required by the practice.
- Support the clinical team in maintaining an efficient, responsive, and patient-centered care environment.
Qualifications Required:

- Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and patient-management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain accurate and timely EMR documentation.
- Ability to work collaboratively with neurosurgeons, clinical staff, hospitals, and other healthcare professionals.
Preferred (not a requirement):

- Experience managing preoperative and postoperative patients.
- Familiarity with neurological examinations, spine conditions, and musculoskeletal disorders.
- Experience reviewing and interpreting diagnostic imaging and clinical testing.
New graduates with a strong interest in neurosurgery and spine care are encouraged to apply. Relevant clinical rotations or prior RN experience in neurosurgery, surgery, orthopedics, critical care, emergency medicine, or a related specialty are highly valued.
Benefits:
- Competitive compensation based on experience.
- Paid time off and paid holidays.
- Continuing Medical Education (CME) opportunities.
- Opportunity to work closely with experienced neurosurgeons and gain extensive exposure to brain and spine care.

Who We're Looking For:
We are looking for an NP who is proactive, dependable, clinically curious, and takes ownership of patient care. The successful candidate will be comfortable managing patients across multiple stages of care while communicating closely with our physicians and clinical team.
Because neurosurgical patients can have complex and evolving needs, attention to detail, strong clinical judgment, timely communication, and follow-through are essential.
