Pharmacy Technician – Retail Pharmacy
Location: California City, CA
Pay: $23.00 per hour
Hours: 46 hours per week
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM | Saturday, 9:00 AM–1:00 PM
We are recruiting for an experienced Pharmacy Technician to join a busy and well-established retail pharmacy in California City, CA.
This is an excellent opportunity for a dependable and customer-focused Pharmacy Technician who enjoys working in a fast-paced community pharmacy environment and is looking for consistent hours and a stable, full-time position.
The Role
Working closely with the Pharmacist and wider pharmacy team, you will help ensure prescriptions are processed accurately and efficiently while providing a high standard of service to patients.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with the preparation and processing of prescriptions
- Entering and maintaining accurate patient and prescription information
- Processing insurance claims and resolving basic billing issues
- Handling prescription pick-up and point-of-sale transactions
- Communicating professionally with patients, prescribers and insurance providers
- Managing stock, inventory and medication orders
- Answering telephone enquiries and assisting customers
- Supporting the Pharmacist with the day-to-day operation of the pharmacy
- Maintaining accurate records and following pharmacy policies and procedures
What We're Looking For
- Previous retail/community pharmacy experience is required
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced pharmacy
- Reliable, professional and able to work effectively as part of a team
- Ability to work the full advertised schedule, including Saturdays
- Appropriate California Pharmacy Technician credentials/licensure where required
