Medical Assistants

Medical Assistants in our podiatry practice play a crucial role in ensuring smooth patient flow and efficient office operations. Reporting directly to the Office Manager, they are responsible for preparing patients, handling medical history documentation, and managing appointment scheduling using the eClinical Works EHR system. These professionals also maintain medical supply inventories and uphold infection control standards to support quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for medical examinations and procedures
• Collect and document accurate medical histories
• Manage electronic health records (EHR) using eClinical Works software
• Schedule appointments and coordinate patient flow
• Communicate effectively with patients regarding their care
• Maintain medical supplies and ensure inventory accuracy
• Implement infection control protocols

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Experience in patient care
• Familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR)
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Strong communication and time management skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
